Brilliantly situated in lovely Binibeca Vell, just five minutes walk from the many charming eateries of the ‘old fishing village’, beautiful Villa Leocadia has enjoyed extensive refurbishment in recent years.

Leocadia is situated on a larger-than-average plot in a nice area of the resort, and boasts a sizeable private swimming pool (with optional pool heating) and pretty gardens.

A spacious and luxurious new master bedroom has recently been added to the top floor of the house, complete with kingsize bed, dressing room, ensuite shower room and outdoor terraces front and rear; the front terrace enjoys distant sea views and the rear terrace has gorgeous garden views.

All five of the bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and air-conditioning.

The other bedrooms are all on the villa’s entry level: the ‘second master’ bedroom has a kingsize bed and ensuite with a large walk-in shower, basin and wc, and french doors to the outside. A further twin-bedded bedroom also has an ensuite with large walk-in shower, basin and wc, and french doors. There are two further bedrooms with twin beds, sharing a separate bathroom equipped with bath with shower over, basin and wc.

The modern kitchen offers everything needed for a self-catering holiday. It has an integrated electric oven, microwave, electric hob, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and Nespresso coffee maker.

There is a separate utility room with washing machine and sink.

The large living/dining room has a dining table for eight and comfortable seating. There are televisions all bedrooms as well as in the living room. There is wifi internet access and each TV can receive internet channels including some UK stations.

The villa is set in large grounds with well established plants and a larger-than-average pool for a villa of this size. There is a lovely covered terrace with large dining table and a gas barbecue, chairs in which to relax and enjoy the shade as well as an extensive pool terrace with retractable awning and plenty of sunbathing areas around the pool. To the rear is a large lawned area with a pretty pergola, sofa and chairs. There is a also a large hand-standing area with a table tennis table.

Popular Binibeca beach is a 20-minute walk.

In Low season the villa is available for rental without the top-floor Master suite, to suit smaller parties.

The Villa was everything we had hoped for. The location was perfect in short walking distance of cafes, restaurants, bars and a supermarket. The bedrooms were all a reasonable size with comfortable beds. The kitchen was well stocked with condiments, dishwasher tablets and washing powder. The terrace with the awning was the perfect place to get away from the heat of the sun but still feel we were outside by the pool

About Binibeca

Binibeca is one of the most popular family resorts on Menorca’s south-east coast (the other being nearby Punta Prima) and, thanks to the lack of hotels and apartment complexes, it has a very ‘residential’ feel and a lot of villa accommodation along the coastal road and back up into the gentle hills behind. Binibeca beach is situated towards the eastern end of the resort and is a lovely sandy spot for families, with safe bathing for small ones, sunbeds for hire and a charming beach bar. At the furthest east of Binibeca is Cala Torret, a small village of whitewashed cottages surrounding the rocky coast and a popular boating slipway. There is a supermarket, a lovely café-cum-bakery and a number of bars and restaurants including Bar Paupa, right at the water’s edge. There’s a children’s playground here also, and a busy dive centre, and there are tennis courts nearby. If you walk westwards from Cala Torret, past the beach, you will come across a few distractions in the form of bars and restaurants, and a supermarket, before reaching the Binibeca Vell end of town, where you will find the ‘fishermen’s village’, built nearly 50 years ago, with its narrow, winding streets, whitewashed homes, supermarket and several lively bars and restaurants. From Cala Torret to Binibeca Vell is approximately 1.5km, or a gentle 15-minute stroll along the relatively level coastal road. There is a ‘road train’ during the summer months which plies between Binibeca and Punta Prima, and there is a regular bus service between the resort and the nearby towns of Sant Lluis and Mahon
