Charming Villa Mariposa enjoys a lovely quiet countryside location and is ideally situated a seven-minute walk from the pretty fishing village of Alcaufar with its child friendly beach.

Located at the end of a narrow lane just off the main road to Alcaufar, the villa sits on a large private plot and enjoys countryside views on the ground elevation and sea views from the large roof terrace accessed by gated stairs from the side of the property. A gated private 7x4m swimming pool with roman step access is surrounded by drystone walls.

Entrance into the villa is from the main door into a small hallway leading into the open-plan living/kitchen/dining room which is nicely furnished with sofas, TV with some English channels, DVD player and iPod dock, and a wood-burning stove. There is wifi internet access. There is a dining table and chairs and the modern fitted kitchen has dishwasher, fridge-freezer, built-in oven/hob and microwave and plenty of good quality crockery, cutlery and utensils. There is a washing machine in a casita outside the kitchen.

Sliding floor-to-ceiling patio doors lead out on to a covered terrace with dining table and chairs and a comfortable outdoor seating area. The lovely walled and gated pool area is a few steps away.

The air-conditioned bedrooms are located to the right side of villa and comprise a double and a twin each with ensuite shower rooms, a further twin room, one single-bed room and a separate full bathroom. All are simply yet comfortably furnished and have bedside tables, lamps and built-in wardrobes and wall fans. The windows all have fitted mosquito screens.

The outdoor casita provides laundry facilities and an additional shower room. There is a built-in BBQ to the side of the house.

Altogether, this is a really pretty, comfortable villa in a peaceful spot. It will appeal to those seeking privacy and who want to be very close to local amenities. A local farmer cultivates the villa’s land and grows an abundance of fruit and vegetables. He will make available a selection of whatever is in season for guests to enjoy.
