Villa description

A large detached villa, Gaviotas is situated in a pleasant and quiet residential area of Cala en Porter. It offers very comfortable accommodation with a high degree of privacy, and the benefit of lovely sea views – yet is only five minutes walk from the bars, restaurants, shopping and entertainment of Cala en Porter and the steps down to the resort’s sandy sheltered beach.

In the main house are three air-conditioned bedrooms – a master with king-size bed and ensuite bathroom plus two further bedrooms with twin beds. All have quality fitted wardrobes and ceiling fans.

There is a further family bathroom and a living/dining room with quality sofa and armchairs, dining table and chairs, DVD player and music system. There is wifi internet access and also IPTV channels. The fully equipped kitchen features fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher.

French doors in the living room lead to a large terrace/balcony with a full range of garden furniture and offering superb views to the sea. Steps lead down to the 10x5m pool, which has extensive tiled sun terraces surrounding it and also a removable pool safety net arrangement for the protection of children (available at additional cost).

Off the pool terrace and underneath the main house is a guest annexe – price inclusive in peak season but an extra-cost option at other periods – which has a large living area, open-plan kitchen, separate air-conditioned bedroom with twin beds, and a shower room/wc. As this has its own, separate entrance, it is only suitable for teenagers/adults.

To the side of Villa Gaviotas is an extensive shaded outside dining area with large BBQ, butler sink and preparation area, plus full range of garden furniture.

A generous sized villa with a stunning view from the balcony. The bedrooms are air-conditioned, however the living area/kitchen is not. The pool is fabulous, and well maintained. The ensuite bathroom is newly refurbished, however the main and downstairs ones are more traditional. The pool is fabulous, well maintained, with a toilet and bbq area. Overall it is a good size for a group of 6/8, and is a more traditional style of property; space is the main selling point

An absolutely wonderful holiday with a fantastic villa at the heart of it. A great layout, was immaculate, all on one level inside and really well furnished. It really catered for all of us. The view was stunning from the villa and the pool fantastic. The resort was wonderful with the selection of places to eat, the playground for the children and the very important ice cream parlours to try many ice creams! The beach was stunning and wonderful for our young family as were the bars that we ate lovely many lunches in. We had a hire car to be able to travel up and down from villa to beach. For us with small children and the buggies, this was invaluable but my parents didn’t mind the steps and said the views were amazing. We loved our holiday and have really fallen for Menorca, it was beautiful. Travel Menorca also provided a very helpful service, highly recommended all round

About Cala en Porter

The popular, busy family resort of Cala en Porter has something for everyone. A large resort by Menorcan standards and one of the oldest on the island, it is situated on the south-east coast with a lovely setting on the eastern cliffs above a large sandy beach with sunloungers and pedaloes for hire. It has an abundance of bars, restaurants, supermarkets and shops, catering mostly for the British. Cala en Porter is famous for the Coves d’en Xoroi – a complex of natural caves high up on the side of the cliff to the east of the beach. During the summer the caves are open daily
