Villa Del Mar, Son Bou

Extensively refurbished inside for the 2018 season, Villa del Mar is a beautiful four-bedroom villa perched high above the resort of Son Bou, enjoying spectacular views out over the bay and the best – and longest – beach in Menorca.

There are panoramic views from del Mar’s extensive pool terrace which surrounds the ‘L-shaped’ 8m long private pool with roman steps; there is a large sunbathing area with ‘sail’ awning, as well as a covered terrace and, to the side of the house, a further outdoor dining area with substantial brick-built barbecue.

The living room looks out on to the pool terrace and also enjoys the sea views. It is comfortably furnished with two large settees and two comfortable easy chairs, and there is a TV (mostly foreign-language channels), games console and wifi internet access.

Next to the living room is a separate dining area with table to seat six and well-equipped open-plan kitchen with oven/hob, fridge/freezer, coffee machine, microwave oven, dishwasher and washing machine.

All of the bedrooms are air-conditioned. Three of them are situated on the ground floor and feature twin beds. Two of these bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and there is a further separate bathroom in addition.

The master bedroom is on the upper level and features a large double bed and ensuite bathroom, and of course that spectacular sea view, enhanced by the provision of a private terrace area.

Villa de Mar’s elevated position inevitably means that there are hills to negotiate if you wish to visit the beach or the resort centre on foot. A car here is vital, if only for trips down to the supermarket.
