Villa Mar y Roca, Binibeca

Villa Mar y Roca (literally ‘sea and rock’) is an appropriately named compact villa nestling on a hillside above the Cala Torret area of Binibeca, about 10 minutes walk from Binibeca beach.

It’s a charming little villa in the classic Menorquin style with simple features and a lot of style. You enter the house down a flight of steps (this is not a suitable property for those with limited mobility) from the property’s exclusive roadside parking space. The house is well below road level, so is quite private and out of sight of passers-by.

The property’s upper level is dominated by the large private swimming pool with roman-step access. There’s room for four sunloungers at the pool’s top edge, and there’s a lovely covered terrace area with dining table and chairs.

The spacious living area is entered via French windows from the terrace – there’s a small settee and a couple of chairs near the TV (offering mainly local channels) as well as a large wooden dining table.

The kitchen is off the living room and features oven/hob, fridge/freezer, microwave oven as well as toaster, kettle, coffee maker etc. There’s a separate washing area with washing machine on the upper level.

You go down a flight of steps to the sleeping area, where you will find a double bedroom with wardrobe space and chest of drawers, an ensuite shower room and a small terrace (with table/chairs) offering views down the valley to the sea. The second bedroom has two single beds and has use of a separate shower room. Both bathrooms have WCs.

Mar y Roca is an eco-friendly villa – all resort amenities are within walking distance and no hire car is necessary. The property does not have air-conditioning.
