Founded in 1761 by the French, Sant Lluis is an attractive small town of narrow streets. A small bypass runs around its perimeter and the town is pretty, quiet and quaint and well worth a visit.
Its famous feature is the gaily painted blue and white windmill – the Moli de Dalt. In the main street, Carrer Sant Lluis, the church tower dominates the skyline.
Shops in Sant Lluis are traditional and eating out is varied and good value. Highly recommended is La Rueda, just down from the windmill, which offers some of the best tapas in the island.
The villa is located 20 minutes drive from Mahon airport and is 10 minutes by car from the nearest beaches. Shops and restaurants are five minutes drive.
