Torret Petit is a grand old Menorcan house set in huge grounds of 7000sq m, with lush gardens and a beautiful 10x5m private swimming pool forming the centrepiece.

The villa is located in the sleepy village of Torret, close to the beach resorts of Punta Prima and Alcaufar, and sleeps 11 across its six rustically styled air-conditioned bedrooms

Practicality and style in a heavenly location

Torret Petit has three separate elements located around the swimming pool – the main house with its four bedrooms and the main living areas, and two annexes offering separate sleeping accommodation. It’s an ideal house for two or three families to share, sleeping separately and coming together around the gated pool or one of the several dining areas. The house is located within five minutes walk of two of Menorca’s finest restaurants – Pan y Vino and Sa Pedrera de Pujol. There are several beaches a short drive away; the nearest supermarket is four minutes by car

Generous living accommodation

The main house offers a well-equipped farmhouse-style kitchen with all modern conveniences, as well as a large separate dining room and a generously sized and very comfortable living room with Smart TV and DVD, and french doors to a covered terrace beside the pool. Outside, beside the front door, there is a long covered terrace with dining table to seat 12, as well as a barbecue. Additional ground-floor rooms include a storage area for luggage and a utility room with washer and drier. Wifi internet is available throughout the property

Main house sleeping accommodation

The main house features four bedrooms, all air-conditioned. On the ground floor there is a double bedroom with queen-sized bed and ensuite shower room (with WC and bidet), a twin bedroom and a single bedroom. These rooms share a separate large bathroom with bath, separate shower, wc, bidet and twin vanity basin. There is a further shower unit also in the nearby utility room. The beamed master double bedroom is up a steep flight of stairs; this room has a king-sized bed, ensuite shower room with walk-in shower, wc and bidet, and french doors out to a football-pitch sized private terrace

The larger annexe suite

The larger of the two annexes boasts a tasteful and very comfortable separate living room with L-shaped settee, coffee table and small desk, as well as wifi. Adjacent is a kitchenette with hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, and a bathroom equipped with bath/shower over, wc, bidet and washing machine. The bedroom, again air-conditioned, features a queen-sized bed and plentiful hanging and cupboard space. There are french doors opening out on to a long, shady terrace

The smaller annexe suite

The smaller annexe offers charming sleeping and living accommodation with fewer rooms – there is a shower room with wc and bidet and, on a slightly lower level reached by a couple of steps, a large bedroom area with french doors opening out on to a heavenly vine-covered private terrace complete with deckchairs and pool/garden views. There is plentiful hanging and cupboard space, and of course air-conditioning and wifi

The outdoor space

The gardens and outdoor space at Torret Petit are simply gorgeous. There’s a massive lawned area for youngsters to dash about on and play games, a 10x5m private pool with roman-step access, a huge pool terrace, shady areas cultivated with trees and Mediterranean shrubs, and a huge driveway and parking area at the front of the house. There are gates at all the obvious openings to deter younger ones from entering the pool area unaccompanied

Prices quoted above are per property per week (seven nights). They include all cleaning and villa preparation costs, bed linens and bath towels and, for rentals of 14 nights and beyond, an interim clean and linen change

The overwhelming view of our group is that it’s a fantastic house which is beautifully presented in a quiet and tranquil setting. The layout of the rooms flows really well. It was well equipped and had everything we needed. The garden was well maintained and the housekeeper was very good.
