Budget carrier Ryanair has announced a new UK-Menorca route for 2022. Between April and October the airlines plans a three-times-weekly service between its new British base at Newcastle Airport and Mahon.
The Newcastle-Menorca flights are scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Ryanair CEO, Eddie Wilson said: “We are delighted to launch a new UK base, which represents a $200m investment at Newcastle. This development will create 60 direct jobs and offer our UK customers a host of European hotspots to choose from, including popular destinations such as Paphos, Chania, Menorca, Ibiza and Zadar.”
In recent years Ryanair has operated a twice-weekly Menorca service from East Midlands Airport. There is no confirmation as yet from the company as to whether this will continue in 2022.
