Los Arcos, Sant Antoni

Los Arcos is a traditional Menorcan five-bedroom single-level villa which enjoys one the most spectacular frontline positions on the north side of Mahon harbour, overlooking the Isla del Rey. Ferries, cruise ships and boats are constantly sailing past, making it a fantastic location from which to watch the world go by…

The villa is situated at the end of a cul-de-sac on a large private plot with ample parking for two or three cars in the elevated road-level villa grounds. Steps lead down to the villa entrance and covered terrace with another set of steps down to the large gated pool terrace.

The main villa door leads into a hallway with, to the left, two ensuite double bedrooms, a further double bedroom and one single bedroom, all with air-conditioning and comfortably equipped with fitted wardrobes, bedside tables/lamps and drawers. The master double has ample space for an additional child’s bed if needed. One of the double bedrooms and the master double have french doors leading on to the covered terrace. The single bedroom and one of the doubles share an adjacent full bathroom with overhead shower.

To the right of the hallway is the spacious, comfortably furnished living/dining room with sofas, coffee table, dining table and chairs, DVD player, and TV with IPTV channels. There is a log burner for chillier evenings in early and late season. Doors lead from here to the terraces. There is wifi internet access.

Across from the living room is the fifth bedroom, with twin beds, aircon, wardrobe, bedside table and lamp. Off this bedroom is an ensuite shower room.

The recently refurbished kitchen is equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, oven/hob, toaster, microwave oven and coffee maker. A door leads out on to the terrace with brick-built barbecue.

On the spacious covered terrace there are dining table and chairs to seat 10 plus lounging terrace furniture from which to take advantage of the fabulous views.

Steps lead down from this terrace to the boathouse roof – ideal for sunbathing – and a long jetty, ideal for fishing and swimming from. Carlos the water taxi man can be booked for pick up and drop off from the jetty to ferry you to Es Castell or Mahon.

The 9.4×4.4m swimming pool with roman step access is surrounded by an extensive sunbathing terrace with table/chairs, parasol and loungers.

Los Arcos is a wonderful villa for a family holiday, especially for those who enjoy sea bathing and fishing. It occupies one of the best positions on the harbour. We speak from personal recommendation having spent seven holidays here ourselves. The villa has loads of traditional character and comfortable furniture, both inside and on the terrace. Early booking is recommended. Due to the number of steps and the direct sea access, this villa is unsuitable for very small children and for those with limited mobility.

All rentals include maid service and linen change every 3/4 days.
