Casa del Verano is an attractive detached villa situated in a quiet residential road in Binibeca, and has pretty, well established gardens with lovely sea views from its large dining terrace and roof terrace.

The spacious living/dining room – with wifi internet, IPTV and DVD – opens on to a large covered terrace with dining table and chairs, built-in BBQ, lounging sofa and armchairs and an lovely view of the sea across to the beach. There are steps leading down from here to the garden and rear pool terrace; a traditional Menorquin gate is fixed to ensure safety for small children.

The 8x5m swimming pool is situated to the rear of the villa and is surrounded by a partly shaded/lawned area and paved sun terrace. There are sun loungers, table and chairs, and outdoor shower. Steps lead up from villa to a roof terrace with bruc-covered pergola and small table/two chairs, from which there are further views down to the sea and the sheltered, sandy, Binibeca beach.

The well-equipped, fully fitted kitchen features large fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. The washing machine is housed outside in a separate wash area just off the kitchen with plenty of hanging space.

Sleeping accommodation comprises one double, two twins and one bunk-bedded single bedroom, all of which are air-conditioned. Please note that the bunk-bedded room is very small and suitable only for very small children (please ask us for details before confirming use of this room). The bedrooms share two bathrooms both with bath and overhead shower.

Casa del Verano is an excellent base for a relaxing family holiday or getaway with friends and is within easy walking distance of the beach, bars, restaurants and supermarket at Cala Torret. It occupies a large, beautifully landscaped private plot in a particularly quiet and sought-after area, making early booking advisable. Also included within the rental is a cot and highchair. From the booking of the villa, right through to the end, everything went smoothly, I can only recommend it. This villa is in a very good location, the local supermarket and a selection of restaurants are walking distance, so is the beautiful beach of Binibeca. The villa is very clean and well presented, the pool is excellent and everything is set in a very nice location with well kept, mature gardens. I was searching for the perfect villa for months, and definitely did not regret choosing this one

The villa is very well equipped, and was perfect for our party of two couples and provided plenty of personal space (the fourth bedroom is a small bunk room so would probably only be suitable for smaller children). There is ample outdoor space for sunbathing and the pool was warm and kept clean. From the roof top terrace there is a good view of the beach (fantastic for watching sunsets). The beach is a mere five minutes walk downhill; it provides a beach bar and a beautiful sandy bay. A selection of restaurants is a further five minutes walk into Cala Torret along with a supermarket and a lovely café/bakery. We would definitely recommend this villa, and rebook it in the future should we come back to the Binibeca area

About Binibeca

Binibeca is one of the most popular family resorts on Menorca’s south-east coast (the other being nearby Punta Prima) and, thanks to the lack of hotels and apartment complexes, it has a very ‘residential’ feel and a lot of villa accommodation along the coastal road and back up into the gentle hills behind. Binibeca beach is situated towards the eastern end of the resort and is a lovely sandy spot for families, with safe bathing for small ones, sunbeds for hire and a charming beach bar. At the furthest east of Binibeca is Cala Torret, a small village of whitewashed cottages surrounding the rocky coast and a popular boating slipway. There is a supermarket, a lovely café-cum-bakery and a number of bars and restaurants including Bar Paupa, right at the water’s edge. There’s a children’s playground here also, and a busy dive centre, and there are tennis courts nearby. If you walk westwards from Cala Torret, past the beach, you will come across a few distractions in the form of bars and restaurants, and a supermarket, before reaching the Binibeca Vell end of town, where you will find the ‘fishermen’s village’, built nearly 50 years ago, with its narrow, winding streets, whitewashed homes, supermarket and several lively bars and restaurants. From Cala Torret to Binibeca Vell is approximately 1.5km, or a gentle 15-minute stroll along the relatively level coastal road. There is a ‘road train’ during the summer months which plies between Binibeca and Punta Prima, and there is a regular bus service between the resort and the nearby towns of Sant Lluis and Mahon
